2020: January & February Progress

Crews pour columns and walls for parking infrastructure in Lot 23.
  • The Banks Public Partnership made good progress on infrastructure in January and February. Lot 27 public infrastructure is complete, paving the way for the ICON Music Center.
  • Work crews poured the first slab on grade in Lot 23 while proceeding with pile caps, columns, walls, and underground utilities work there.
  • The Public Partnership advertised the public bid for Bid Package #6 for Lot 23 Park and Lot 23/27 Garage Signage and Security.
  • Variable Message Signage project continued, with crews completing foundations and continuing with the underground infrastructure.
  • The Banks became “Snow Banks at The Banks” in January, providing a cure for cabin fever with ice carvings, snow tubing, snow mounds, dining and entertainment for the whole family.
  • In January, the Ohio River crested at 54 feet, flooding portions of Smale Riverfront Park.
  • The Riverfront Transit Center expanded the area dedicated to public parking.
